Oh Snap Look Who's Back...

So I'm sure that some of you have noticed that the club has started to add your stuff to a new set of Collections. For those of you who have been with us since the beginning, no doubt I've spammed your in box with notices of how proud we are to call you a member (do you forgive me yet?).

What is this for, you ask, and why is the gallery slowly shrinking? Well, I've accepted $Moonbeam13's challenge to embrace the Collections System for club updates, rather than uploading a copy of your picture to our gallery. Now, I'm sure some of you have a few questions, and I'd like to address those here:

Q.) WTF where did the side bars and stuff go on the journal?
A.) I broke them. It's early. I haven't had coffee yet. I'll fix it later.

Q.) WTF were did the gallery go?
A.) As I'm converting the past submissions to the Collections System, I'm using the Store function on your piece in the gallery.

Q.) How will new pieces be updated since they'll no longer be uploaded?
A.) Every time I do a chunk of updates, I'll be submitting a screenshot of the newest pieces in the Collections, and I will be uploading that instead. It will link to the Collection that contains those pieces and you can fav the Collection directly.

Q.) What does this mean for the club?
A.) It means I'll have more time to do the cool stuff like run contests; suggest Daily Deviations; publish the up-and-coming anthro magazine "IamAnthro". You know...all the stuff I haven't been able to do. This also means submissions will be more frequent, but you won't be spammed with hundreds of submissions at once -- just one screenshot of about 20.

Q.) What does this mean for me?
A.) I'm glad you asked!! This is the uber cool part!! You know all those idiots who keep faving the club uploads even though it says in BOLD not to? (yeah...thanks for the violations guys -- every time you fav a club pic you run the risk of shutting us down.) Ever wonder if your piece is getting exposure or whether people are following the direct link to your actual piece or if they're just looking at the club upload? Wonder no more!! Because we're collecting your actual piece and not uploading a copy of it, when our viewers click on the thumbnail, they will be directed straight to the piece in YOUR gallery, not ours. You'll receive all the favs, comments, questions, and exposure that I initially intended you to get through becoming an =Anthro-Alliance member, but may not have been getting because some people just can't read.

It also means that your submissions will be updated swiftly, rather than building up to a scary amount in my notes. Seriously guys, we have hundreds of members and you'd be shocked at what my inbox looks like right now. The conversion process alone is on its second day, and it'll take another one. I'll be converting 434 pieces to the new Collections system, and once I'm done I'll be updating with the new submissions in the same manner. There's around 33 submissions hanging out in my inbox...29 new joining requests...3 new affiliates...

Well, I've got to get back to the conversion process, but after it's done I'll be getting a contest going, and talking to you about the new I Am Anthro Magazine in the works!! Exciting stuff
