Joining the Alliance - Updated 10-19-07

How to Join

----------------------------------
READ THE APPLICATION PROCESS AND CODE OF CONDUCT HERE
PRIOR TO SENDING YOUR JOIN REQUEST.

----------------------------------

Joining the =Anthro-Alliance is easy! However, I request that you read these instructions in full, as agreeing to a short Code of Conduct will be required in the note you send requesting membership. Failure to read this entire process will delay your application, as you will be instructed to read it in full anyway.

Why is this process in place, you ask? Am I hell-bent on turning the =Anthro-Alliance into an elitist club? The answer to that is no. But I built this club up from the dirt; I give it a good deal of my free time, and I also pay for the subscription. This club means something to me. After reading the following Code of Conduct, as well as the Club Ideals, I hope you will see that my intentions on this Application Process are not to maintain an elite membership: as it doesn’t matter at all to me where your artistic skills are in the grand scheme of things. What matters to me is how we treat each other, and how we treat others.

You can become a member one of two ways: either by invite or by sending us a note expressing your wish to join. You will not be added as a member simply by watching the club. You are under no obligation to join simply by watching us. You also don't need to submit art to be a member.

If you send us a note asking to join, please put "Join" or "Joining the Club" in the subject line so I can attend to it promptly. Once you've sent us a note, we ask that you provide a link back to us in one or all of three ways (although this is not necessary to do, it's just nice so that other fellow anthro artists can find us):

1.) By placing a link in your signature. This can be done by any member regardless of DeviantArt subscription status. Something like "Proud member of the : devAnthro-Alliance : !" will work -- be sure to take the spaces out by the colons to provide the link. You can also simply cut and paste our url to your signature.

2.) By stating your membership to our club and providing a link via your journal. The process is similar to the above one, just in your journal. You don't need a subscription for this.

3.) If you are a DeviantArt subscriber, you can link to us in your journal via our club icon or our handy-dandy club stamp (or both if you'd like to show us off even more). To link our icon, type : iconAnthro-Alliance : without the spaces, and for the stamp type : thumb44548636 : without the spaces. It's a hot stamp. You know you want to.

Read the bold orange part of the journal first, and then please send your request via note. Your original request was incomplete, which is why it was not processed.
